65cm per 10 minutes
The average baguette is around 65 centimeters long and a cigarette usually takes about 10 minutes to fully burn down to the bud.
Hamburger/ Happy Meal;
3 1/2 inches per 15 seconds
The normal burger bun has a width of 3 1/2 inches, a speed eater (Matt Stonie) ate a McDonald’s Happy Meal in about 15.22 seconds, I rounded down the time to 15 seconds to make it easier for the average person to remember.
Washing machine/ Browning High Power;
41 inches per 9 seconds
The height of a washing machine varies from 38 inches to 43 inches so I took the median (about 40.5) and rounded up, a competition shooter has an average reload of 1-3 seconds and the time it takes to fire 13 rounds (the mag size of the Browning High Power) is about 6.49 seconds which i rounded up to 7 seconds, then add 2 (because it’s the middle number for the reload) and you get 9 seconds.
Football field/ Moon landing;
100 (although it would really be 120 counting the end zones) yards per 76 hours
The average (American) football field has a width of 120 yards although it is commonly measured at 100 yards when being compared to something else so I shall use the common measurement to avoid confusion, the entire expedition of Apollo 11 (from Earth to Moon) took 76 hours.
