Dogeza de Tanondemita Information and Songs Like DOGEZA! Do get that!
Dogeza de Tanondemita DOGEZA! Do get that! Lyrics belongs to the anime Dogeza de Tanondemita, take a look at the argument:
The enigmatic immortal humans known as «Ajin» first appeared in Africa 17 years ago. They were labeled a threat to humanity upon their discovery, as they could use their abilities for evil and were unkillable. Since then, whenever an Ajin is discovered in society, they must be immediately arrested and taken into custody.
Kei Nagai, a high school student working hard to become a doctor, knows very little about Ajin, having only seen them in the news on occasion. Although students are taught that these creatures are not human, Kei does not pay attention in class. As a result, his dangerously shaky understanding of the subject becomes completely irrelevant when he survives an accident that was supposed to kill him, signaling his rebirth as an Ajin and the beginning of his days of torment. However, as he finds himself alone and on the run from the rest of the world, Kei quickly realizes that more members of his species may be closer than he thinks.

What Is Dogeza? 土下座 どげざ
What Is Dogeza? : One of the most distinctive features of Japanese culture is the frequent bowing. Performing a bow involves placing your arms at your sides, or clasping them in front of your waist, and bending at the hips. The deeper the bow the more sincere and formal it becomes.
What Is Dogeza?
Bowing at a 90° angle is often reserved only for very special circumstances, such as addressing the emperor, greeting an honored guest at a swanky hotel, expressing condolences at a funeral, etc. However, there is an even more formal bow than the one stated above, and that bow is called the dogeza (土下座). In today’s article, we’re going to learn what dogeza is, where it came from, how it is used today, and how it has lost some of its meaning in modern-day Japan.
What Does Dogeza Mean?
What Does Dogeza Mean?
Dogeza is a special bow that expresses deference to someone of higher status. It is most often used to express one’s deepest apologies for wrongdoing or as a means of asking for a favor (such as lending money).
To perform a dogeza, a person gets down on their knees, places their hands on the ground, arches their back, and presses their forehead to the ground in the space between their hands. Performing this act is a very serious public display and the person doing it is coming from a position of shame. It is equal to someone getting down on their knees and clasping their hands together, begging for money or forgiveness. In some circumstances it is equivalent to kissing someone’s feet. The dogeza is the most humiliating position in which to place oneself in Japan. This is because in Japanese culture the ground is seen as filthy and home only to animals and the unclean (which is one reason shoes are removed before entering a house). To get down on one’s knees and place one’s head to the ground shows that you are willing to grovel in the mud like an animal for someone’s forgiveness.
Where Did Dogeza Come from?
The act of dogeza dates back to the 2nd or 3rd century. It was used to show reverence to the gods in places of worship—such as temples and shrines—and was also performed by peasants to show respect to those of higher rank. When a nobleman or aristocrat would pass through villages, the peasants would get down on the roadside and dogeza to them, saying, “I prostrate myself before thee, oh noble one, and clap my hands in prayer” (michibata de heifuku shite kashiwa de wo utsu).
How Is Dogeza Used Today?
Between the Taisho and Showa period after World War I, the actions and phrases of yore evolved. The dogeza, which was once used to express the utmost reverence and respect to superiors, was now used to express apologies and request favors. Novels and historical dramas of the time also helped to influence this shift.
In modern-day Japan, dogeza is used in only the most serious situations and is usually displayed before a mass of people—such as family members, co-workers, members of the same organization, passersby on the street, etc. I once witnessed in the middle of a shopping square a man performing dogeza in front of another man, saying “I’m sorry that I slept with your girlfriend!” I assumed they were good friends and that the man apologizing betrayed a deep trust and loyalty between them. I don’t think the friend forgave him, though, because he kicked the guy in the head while his head was still on the ground. Ouch!
Although dogeza is viewed as an action of deep humility reserved for only the most shameful circumstances, many believe that it has lost its meaning in recent times. The reason for this is that the modern Japanese person is put under a lot of stress due to the very high standard of etiquette placed upon them. Whether it’s dealing with customers at work, talking to superiors, or just existing in public in general, there is a right way to conduct oneself and a wrong way. They are criticized from the words they use all the way down to how they stand and the minute movements they make. The Japanese are constantly under the spotlight, and they find this unbearable; therefore, when someone other than themselves makes a mistake, they feel a sense of relief. This sudden release in tension often results in laughter. In other words, Japanese people find it hilarious when someone else makes a mistake, and modern TV comedies bank off of this. Recently, there was a TV comedy show called Hanazawa Naoki which features several episodes involving humorous scenarios of characters performing dogeza. One character gets a huge bank loan just by performing a dogeza, and the banker who issued him the loan has to perform a dogeza to the board to apologize for being so stupid. These episodes received rave reviews amongst the Japanese for how hilarious they were, which underscores the idea that dogeza isn’t taken as seriously as it once was.
In Conclusion
The ancient custom of showing reverence to gods and superiors has evolved into an expression of deep apology or for asking a favor. However, because age-old standards of conduct stress the modern Japanese person out, actions such as dogeza have devolved into parody in some circumstances and have lost their impact.

What is a masterpiece? To answer that question you need to understand that true perfection is not only the result of countless hours of dedication but is also the result of the impact it makes in your mind. Like Eva for example, it is one of the few pieces of media that can change minds and show them realisations of what the viewers really want in life, it was an anime that made me realize the importance of friendships and made me realize that the last thing I wanted was to be lonely.
This is true perfectionon
PS: This is not a joke I legit think this as crazy as it might be
Let’s take a look at the English name of the anime first: “I Tried Asking In Dogeza”. Many of you probably had the same questioning face as I did: What is «Dogeza» (土 下座)? After weeks of research I was able to find out that there is also an English term for this: «Kowtow». This information was of course very interesting, but this word didn’t mean anything to me either. Thanks to the help of this anime, I was able to find out the long-awaited meaning: Dogeza is an element of traditional Japanese etiquette where people gets down on their knees, places their hands on the ground, arches their back, and presses their forehead to the ground in the space between their hands (AMEN and very hard to learn). You do all the difficult moves just to show the highest respect to the other person and how serious your request is. You really hope they make your wish come true.
Why was all that information necessary? Because in this anime you are the MC (with the name Suwaru Doge) and do “Kowtow” with an urgent request every time. Fortunately, the plot doesn’t require 200 IQ to understand it. In every episode (which only lasts 3 minutes, 30 seconds of it is the outro) you are faced with a different girl in another environment. Sometimes your teacher is in front of you, at other times you are in the library or even when refueling you only have THAT thing in mind. Some of them have bigger OPPAIs, for others the famous saying «Flat is Justice» by Confucius applies. It doesn’t matter, you are cultured enough to know all boobs are great. BUT STOP! Breasts alone are not enough of course and so you decide in four of the twelve moments that you prefer to see their underwear. Since it has already worked out at “Opantsu”, the goal will be accomplished here as well for sure. In the end, only the result counts and you passed that with bravur in every episode!
The art style is very beautiful in general, you can see and recognize all the important shapes. The exciting scenes are also highlighted by a special background effect. BUT I think we all agree in this point: We want to see uncensored OPPAIs and PANTSUs. So why is there a crappy, green mini version of us that obscures everything. That of course takes the fun out of it.
Nowadays you can hardly find a more motivating song than the ED «DOGEZA! Do get that!» which is played after each short episode. The music gives you strength and the belief you can manage everything no matter how difficult the path might be. The lyrics are super easy to learn and should be a mandatory song at school, college or work to keep you motivated. With a good «Dogeza» everything is possible!
A masterpiece is no use if it is not enjoyable. As an enthusiastic fan of the VR world, I already had fun watching «Opantsu» and «One Room». You don’t even need an expensive device here, so you can spend all the money for your next waifu figure. Anime shouldn’t be compared directly with each other, but there is no way around «Opantsu» in this case. If you are cultured enough, do yourself a favor and watch that first if you haven’t. There are no rational explanations why you should watch all of these. But as we all now, men are simple. You can see eight pair of boobs and four panties here, what else do you want more? The only thing that triggers you very hard is the censoring.
Finally, I really can only recommend this anime to every cultured person. But do yourself a favor and don’t try the «Kowtow»-thing in real life, the probability of ending up at the police station is much higher than being successful.
We have to learn more about the «Dogeza» culture, so the only question left is:
Luckily an OVA is already announced for the isekai-world but when will we get the second season?
If there was a show to end the fruitless year of 2020, this short is everything.
If you want to enjoy this short, follow these simple steps:
1) Know that the MC Suwaru Doge is voiced by none other than the King of Comedy himself, Tomokazu «Gintoki» Sugita.
2) Watch EVERY episode featuring girls/women of different occupations, features, sizes (and even traps. ).
3) Prepare a comedy skit to appease the girl/woman to let her reveal her boobs/panties, much less her credentials and 3 sizes.
4) LET’S DOGEZA!
Art is plenty good for a short, the only song here is outstanding. «DOGEZA! Do get that!» Onegaishimasu!
Hilarious. Love Sugita’s voice on the protagonist
The ones that came an anime about a dude begging girls to show some meat expecting it to be good have 0IQ
If you don’t like dirty jokes don’t look somewhere else, if you want to beat your meat watch Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo or look Fate Grand Order tag on nhentai, this is more for the luls than anything
The main character exists for you to have his point of view the story from his perspective like in a VR game, overall he shouldn’t be qualified
I liked it because I enjoy dirty jokes. Taking that in account, the concept of a pathetic protagonist begging girls for them to get naked was too absurd for me not to go and watch it. Enjoyed what I’ve seen, definetely this anime didn’t fail at making me laugh any time. I’ll be back, expecting from the sequel the same I expected from this: Nonsense
Damn it! I thought the worst anime of the year was already declared when I saw Gibiate. Today, I have my doubts. If you want to see a fast, uninteresting and controversial show, Dogeza is perfect for you! Now, if you hate random, immoral and horrible ecchi, stay away from this show!
First, we need to demystify the idea that all ecchi is bad. There are incredible works that know how to treat the subject as an important narrative element and others that simply put this type of scene for no reason. Dogeza goes beyond the two options and creates a third one: he uses ecchi as a narrative element, but he has no other reason than to show young people naked on the screen. The anime adapts a compilation of comic strips of the same name and you don’t even have to read the subtitles or understand another language to follow the work without problems. I, for example, am Brazilian and read Dogeza quickly, but when I realized that the text didn’t matter, I just turned the page and always had the same structure: a girl ashamed to show her body, a highly perverted, immoral and disgusting and a more uncomfortable environment than another.
In addition to being a bad ecchi, the anime is repetitive. As much as some try to contradict me saying that the show is short and you can consider some things, I can’t see any factor that makes it positive. It is not as if the creators did not know. They don’t even try to hide the shit that it is.
In my sincere opinion, whoever thinks this is cool and likes this type of content, needs to get their ideas back, because this is ridiculous. It is nothing more than a material for self-pleasure. It is as if the anime wanted to make the audience see themselves in the protagonist’s view, which disgusts me. There are already animes that try to use the main element in first person (example: One Room), but I never saw them use it in a way that was horrible to follow.
I will not blame anyone, as this type of content is considered common today. It is normal to see a type of show that passes between big episodes, as if it were a commercial. Dogeza was made to occupy a small portion of the day on your TV station. In this respect, I understand the reason for producing something like this. It is the profit it generates. Nothing more than that. Nobody will say that the anime had any other intention. Any anime that has breasts and asses as the predominant elements becomes profitable even today. The same legacy that I mentioned earlier has become a problem today, where you can still see this incredibly sick attempt to have money with products of sexual content, be it an anime, manga, figure, etc.
Finally, Dogeza should not exist. It doesn’t show any content and features one of the most display and free ecchis I’ve ever seen. At least Gibiate tried to be something, Dogeza was complete rubbish from the start. Just like the anime had 12 Dogezas, I ask you in dogeza too. Definitely don’t watch this!
Aight I was expecting this manga to get low mal scores, after all it’s a cheap ecchi show.
HOWEVER, that’s the thing, This is a cheap ecchi show it has a simple plot, with one main premise.
So why the hell are people so rating this show so badly?
Anyway here’s my take
Story-7
Dude is horny, he wants to see panties/boobies. He begs they break, The End.
It’s a simple plot and for a short ecchi show, it’s perfect
.
Art-7
Eh It’s ecchi, the only issue is that its censored
Sound-8
They actually got some good voice actors here, usually with shows like these you get some begineer va’s but nope they actually have known or rising Va’s.
Character-7
Again, boy begs, girls give. The characters are different from each other so every episode you get new interactions and new tropes being shown.
Enjoyment-8
Cheap ecchi show, if you don’t like ecchi then this show is not for you. It’s a simple show with a unique charm due to the mc being horny all the time. I give this an 8 because I watch this show to blow off steam due to how stressful times are today.
Overall-7
It ain’t the best but for a short ecchi series it is really good. I recommend that you shut off your brain while wathching this to enjoy the experience
Dogeza De Tanondemita
Well, this is a cheap ecchi anime with like 2 minute episodes. What more can i say. Oh yeah its also censored with no announcement for an uncensored version coming soon.
Anyways the manga was way better. If you want like a quick ecchi fap or have fetishes for embarrassed women. Go Read the manga. Way better and uncensored. Its also ongoing so you can have new embarrassed women updated in a semi decent upload schedule.
Yeah Pretty Shit. Very Disappointing
Sound Design and Acting is pretty decent so there’s that lol.
. Story: 1/10
Art: 6/10
Sound: 5/10
Character: 4/10
Enjoyment: 1/10
Overall: 3/10
Hello fellow ecchi enthuasists.
First off this show is extremely short, so there’s not really much to talk about.
It feels like a downgrade from «Iya na Kao sare nagara Opantsu Misete Moraitai» and it’s also even shorter.
The animation could be better, but both dialogue and the girls so far were enjoyable. They got some pretty popular seiyuus on board, surprisingly.
I kinda enjoy POV anime like One Room or Iya na Kao so if you do as well, definitely check it out.
We cannot see the main character when he’s kneeling in front of the girls, which I appreciate a lot.
PS: You might want to wait for the uncensored version.
Atention weebs! This may look like a dumb ass anime at first glance, and don’t get me wrong, I’ve thought so too!
However, this anime has proven to be the next big hit, and I’m expecting this to go on Netflix and mainstream TV channels because it will change the way anime is portrayed as a whole. I’d even put my kid in front of the TV and he would get so many knowledge that life would be as easy as breathing for him.
The story is amazing with each episode introducing new amazing characters have such great development along the 1:30 mins of episode that even put FMA and AoT to shame for even trying to compete with it. In the end there’s a plot twist that makes you doubt the Bible and the scene after the end credits made me jump and break my TV from the sheer emotion I felt in that scene.
I think I’ll never watch something as great as this anime again. I don’t even think mankind can achieve such a level again. I don’t think this was made by mankind, as I perceive this anime not as a show, but as a superior entity made to guide us.
This just made me uncomfortable as a girl like.. this is actually the type of guys you will see all the time who will just try to harass you like this.. like honestly, I’ve met hundreds of guys like this who just beg in the exact same manner.. e-even if you don’t have much of a chest.. it just made me feel bad for my chest again.
Ofcourse I’d never show but the pressure is very real.. Making a mistake like that, can only lead to regret.
So the point of these anime? I don’t know, But I can confirm this is a reality. Many many men are like this towards girls. I’ve experienced more than I can count from this.. and it’s from their perspective too. I just don’t get it.
What a bad anime..
I don’t even know where to begin lol
Story: this guy begs for some boobies, I thought it would be just the first episode but it was the whole season. It actually was a turn off seeing all that play out.
Art: it was okay nothing amazing. Boobs looked pretty good too.
Sound: not a whole lot there.
. Enjoyment: it was nice seeing the boobs but that’s about it.
Overall: bad anime. That’s it that’s all 3/10
Thank you for reading 🙂
Chase your dreams, even if it means sacrificing your dignity. Who knows? You may just achieve them. Dreams take sacrifice, and you can’t expect them to be handed to you without you making the effort to reach them.
I’d say that was the biggest takeaway from Dogeza de Tanondemita, a short anthology which presents this teaching in a quite unconventional fashion.
Dogeza de Tanondemita already showed what it was meant to be from the start, and did not present itself to be some kind of extensive story, or deep plot with character development. It was concieved for the purpose of satisfying our degeneracy, but what I didn’t expect was how comedic the whole endeavor was.
Other animes which aim to do the same such as IyaPan (I Want You To Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Underwear) achieve its goal but sets its expectations from the start. Yes, the whole show centered around this premise, and was satisfactory in how it achieved its goal. There was no deviation from its central premise and did its job. I would personally give IyaPan a 7 (I’m quite the harsh grader), since it was no nonsense and stayed on premise, and also delivered on audience expectations. What sets Dogeza apart however, and why I give it a 9, is because of how the show was able to stay on subject and achieve its goal, but also enhance its charm due to its comedic factor.
Gintoki himself voiced Doge (our main protagonist), and he played the role of our main protagonist very, very well. His lines were really funny and how he synergized with the narrarator was my favorite part of it all. Only critique however is that by being in the POV setting, we would expect that it would be just like IyaPan or One Room wherein we are the protagonist, and we are meant to be making our own lines and playing our own scenario. His voice lines break the immersion and defeat the purpose of the setting, however, other than that I don’t really mind it and found that while he breaks the purpose, his comedic prescence overshadows it and really makes for an enjoyable experience.
Those few minutes were very enjoyable, and I would honestly watch a full 24 min show with just this. But then again, we would run out of archetypes wouldn’t we. Which brings me to the girls in the show, the main attraction and hook of the show altogether, and why we want to devote time to this experience in the first place.
The female (*ahem, mostly) protagonists change every episode, and present a different story and setting every instance, with our main character Doge requesting a different sight every episode (rotating between oppai or opantsu). I found the girls to be archetypal (which is to be expected from this genre so that isn’t a minus point for my criteria). I did find all of them to be amusing however, and seeing their reactions was also very amusing, and personally, how those subtleties are presented is what amplifies the overall experience. Their character design and overall artsyle of the show is also okay, from what I remember, I don’t think a majority of the backgrounds were but much effort into, but that’s not what we’re here for anyway huh. The girls were drawn decently, nothing bad, but nothing too special. The end card however, is the best piece of art I can refer to, and every episode it dosen’t dissapoint, so please make sure to watch until after the end credits.
I personally didn’t feel the end song, and usually skipped it. It was high energy but it wasn’t anything worth mentioning. Sorry, it isn’t an Overflow ED level banger. Sound quality however was fine and voice acting was done very, very well. Not just by Gintoki and the Narrarator, but all of the girls as well played their roles quite well.
I’d like to end by saying that shows of these genre are usually alleles of the same gene, or rather, variations of art based on the same template. The premise at its core for all of the shows in its genre is simple, show pantsu and it will be recieved in different ways. For IyaPan it was asking and also making the girls show a disgusting face. For Dogeza, it’s to literally get on your knees, and sacrifice yourself to get it.
What sets apart these kind of shows however, and as I said earlier, is how you can amplfy that canvas and give us something interesting, and Dogeza does this by adding to the show its comedic value.
TLDR: Show surpassed my initial expectations and is very enjoyable, it won’t be the self insert theme like you’re used to, but you’ll still love its charm either way.
Note: I’m comparing to IyaPan alot and that’s because that’s what I would consider to be its best comparison to. The people who will watch this have likely watched a few episodes of IyaPan and will likely understand alot of the comparisons I made.
