Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning
Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary school rather than secondary school.Do the advantages of this outweighs its disadvantages?
It has been suggested that learning foreign language at primary schools creates more benefits to children rather than involving at secondary ones. However, learning a foreign language at secondary schools always have been dominated traditionally. In my conviction, adopting foreign languages at beginner educational schools can set with both positive and negative outcomes.
The obvious argument in its favor is that, children learn language without any difficulties due to set up program which still acquires their mother tongue. During the speaking in foreign language to them, they accept that language as their second native language and start practicing it at school to communicate with friends and with teacher also. Moreover, teaching period among children go easily and clearly which adolescents always come with misunderstandings, difficulties and accepting properly.
Another point to consider is that, learning of foreign language in childhood exempt from one load which has to be learnt at secondary school. While they finished primary level by knowing well that language, the only special subjects which help in later future will be in the center of the attention. Furthermore, educating another language in young age creates potential of learning another foreign language without difficulties and therefore quick adaptation to other culture.
There are, however, some disadvantages. Primary teachers are generalists, and may not have language skills themselves. If government provides special language teachers, it will cost a lot and can impact on education economy. Furthermore, much attention will be given to primary schools and assigned the major part of budget to them than other educations. However, these issues cannot be compulsory reasons to stop this policy from adopting.
All points considered, while there are both convincing arguments on both sides, learning foreign language in childhood benefits to growing generation even it heavily pressure to economy. I reckon that, adopting this policy can bring about only advantage to education system and future of children.

Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?
Some authorities think that it is more favorable for pupils to begin studying languages at primary school instead of secondary school. This essay will argue that the advantages of this outweigh the drawbacks. The essay will first demonstrate that the earlier someone learns an additional language the more likely they are to master it and that it brings added cognitive benefits, followed by an analysis of how the primary disadvantage, namely confusion with their native tongue, is not valid.
The main reason to start kids off with foreign languages early is that this increases the likelihood they will achieve fluency in adulthood. That is to say that they will have far more years to perfect their skills and it will seem perfectly normal to speak bilingually. For example, in countries such as Holland and Norway where English is taught from a very young age, more than 95% of adults speak it at an advanced level. Learning a second language also helps to improve overall cognitive abilities. In other words it benefits the overall development of a child’s brain. A recent survey by Cambridge University found that children who studied a new language before the age of 5 were significantly more likely to score higher in Mathematics and Science.
Those opposed to this say that it causes the child to become confused between their mother tongue and the other language. However, there is actually no evidence to support this view and children from bilingual families do just as well in both languages. My own son was brought up speaking both Vietnamese and English and outperforms most of his classmates in both.
On balance, the fact that early foreign language learning leads to higher fluency and improved brain function clearly outweighs the flawed argument that it impairs uptake of native languages.

It is often argued that children should learn a foreign language at primary school level instead of secondary school. This essay agrees with the argument that the benefits of learning a new language at an early age outweigh the drawbacks associated with it.
Learning at an early age promotes a child’s cognitive development and mastery over the language but it may also lead to confusion at times. One of the main advantages of learning a foreign language at an early age is that students develop a firm grip on the language. They become well-versed in grammar, pronunciation and syntax which are the key components of any language. For instance, it has been observed that a child who has been learning French since grade 1 speaks it more fluently than a student who started learning the language from grade 7 or 8 onwards.
However, there are a few disadvantages as well. Adding another language to the curriculum can be burdensome for the children especially if the emphasis is on teaching reading and writing. In India, for example, children learn at least three languages from grade 1. This causes them a lot of difficulty and also they confuse the alphabets of one language with the alphabets of another language. In my opinion, schools can avoid this issue by focusing only on speaking in the primary school. Once the child is older, writing and reading can be taught.
To conclude, there are many benefits to learning a foreign language at primary school and they indeed outweigh the risks involved.

In the era of globalisation, learning a foreign dialect provides numerous opportunities for students. According to some educationalists, children should be taught a non-native language like English from Elementary School instead of Higher Secondary. In my opinion, this has more benefits than drawbacks.
There are certainly a few drawbacks to learning a foreign language at primary school. The first and the most obvious one is that children are too young to understand the depth of other languages, notably, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation. In other words, they are not intellectually mature enough to assimilate the richness of a foreign language. What is more, since students at this age do not even fully comprehend their mother tongue, emphasis on a foreign dialect may leave them in an awkward situation. Consequently, it puts some extra burden on them.
In spite of the points mentioned above, I still argue that learning a foreign language in the inception stage of schooling is advantageous. The primary reason is that youngsters have more grasping power than adults. As a result, what they learn at this age gets imprinted on their mind. As the children grows, this language learning ability diminishes. To elaborate, research conducted by a language learning institute in California on 1000 students of 5 to 12 age group found that at this age the mind is better equipped to acquire knowledge.
Additionally, learning a non-indigenous language is a time-consuming process. If students embark learning early, by the time they reach high school, they will become proficient in it. Secondly, when students study in Higher Secondary School, they do not have to put extra efforts to understand the foreign language. As a result, students can focus on their course subjects like physics, chemistry and mathematics. Hence, they will receive better academic results.
To recapitulate, it is apparent from the aforementioned arguments that the disadvantages of learning a foreign language at primary class are negligible when compared to the benefits it provides.

It is undeniable that language is key and essential for all people in today’s world. According to some educationalists think that children should start learning a second language at primary school rather than secondary school. Nevertheless, learning languages in an early of life may have some drawbacks, this essay argues that the advantages do outweigh the disadvantages.
One of the drawbacks of starting learning other languages at primary school hamper children to emphasize the tongue of their mother language. In other words, children are unable to speak with the correct accent of their mother tongue and it can lead them to be lack confidence in verbal communication when speaking with native speakers. For example, most of the children who were born from rich families are mostly attend International primary schools because parents want their children to learn English, a foreign language, especially in Asian countries. As a consequence, children are even unable to speed native language at their home. Therefore, speaking properly a native language is also important like learning others.
However, there are some advantages of learning a foreign language early in life. Firstly, children can easily capture new things as the abilities of absorption were great at a younger age like kid or children. So, learning languages at primary school can give children to use their abilities or memories correctly without wasting time. Secondly, language is an essential key in communication, especially in today’s competitive world. The early children can learn, the more they can get great chances or opportunities. For instance, most of the secondary students in Asian countries would like to get scholars from other western countries. Only students who have proper language skills can grasp these opportunities. So, it is better to have foreign language skills in early life.
To sum up, despite learning new languages at primary school can lead to some negative effects, there are many positive effects and the advantages do outweigh the disadvantages.

Sample Answer 1:
Due to the advancements in communication systems, the relation among nations has been increased markedly. As a result of this, learning a foreign language at an early age has become a controversial issue in the global village. Some experts claim that primary school is the best place for learning another language instead of secondary school. I firmly believe that there is a defensible basis for this argument.
The proponents of this view discuss that there are many reasons behind of their claims. The most important one is about recent research. The studies have shown that the children between 4-9 ages have a great opportunity to learn new languages. Also, they clarify their claims by an example, a survey among 200 pupils, has shown that the above mention ages have a crucial role in children building character and developing their personality. Moreover, give the special care and settle down proper curriculum could be much beneficial for them in this way. Consequently, because of carefree mind children can catch more points in this level.
In parallel, I personally side with this idea. The key point to justify this attitude could be illustrated by a personal tangible example. A couple of years ago, I met a German family with an interesting story. To cut the long story short, Lucas, the first child of the family, has started learning the English language at secondary school and now the level of his English skill is almost intermediate. Conversely, his sister has started English and France together at primary school. Now, she can speak very fluently both of them. On balance, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the primary school can pave the way for learning a foreign language easily. Although, it should be considered that the method and atmosphere of the school play a key role in learning.
All in all, we should own up to the fact that learning a foreign language has become a key factor in our lifelong. It goes without saying, having a strong basis in a new language can uplift us towards prosperity. Primary schools are the best places to enhance our children’s language ability. Also, in this special span, the pupil’s minds are dead ready to catch an awful lot of new things and what could better than learning a second language than that.

It is widely believed that studying a foreign language in the first year of school is more effective than in secondary school for children. Drawbacks and benefits of this topic will be covered in this essay.
On the one hand, pupils studying only three or four years in the school even at that moment do not properly concentrate on the lessons. It could be difficult to compel children to learn something else besides their curriculum subjects. For instance, my little sister always wants to play, even if there are loose ends. In addition, students of a primary school firstly should learn the fundamentals of exact science such as mathematics and physics. Otherwise, they might not understand them later. Furthermore, if a student does not know his native language perfectly, it is useless to learn a foreign dialect for him.
On the other hand, this is a fact that children, who are approximately between five and nine years, have the capacity to remember things twice as fast and effectively than people from other age groups. For example, when I was in the third-fifth grades, I used to memorise new words very quickly and for a long period. However, now I cannot even learn many new phrases. Secondly, studying a foreign language is very helpful. Students can understand the expression, lifestyle and culture of a different country and is helpful for enhancing their perspectives. English is an international language on which over one billion of people are communicating. Hence, being able to learn a second language will give competitive advantages for the children.
To sum up, the minor disadvantages will never prevent us from concluding that knowing foreign phrases will be never excessive. In future knowing one more language might be very prestigious.

Learning a foreign language is a new trend followed nowadays. Even in schools’ curriculum, a subject with a different language is a must. Many believe that students at primary schools should start learning a foreign tongue and should not wait till secondary school level. I also believe that it has several advantages. The growth of an individual brain and increase in opportunities will support the argument.
Firstly, learning a foreign language is helpful for the growth of a child’s brain. A study by United Nations has proved that learning any language other than the native one activates various new parts of the brain which were never used before. As a result, it increases the grasping and learning-power of a child. Not only this, it also accelerates the working of one’s brain. Looking at the points discussed above, we can come to a conclusion that advantages of learning a foreign language at an early age outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, this practice must be followed by all the nations. I believe many countries will include a foreign language in its school as a mandatory subject for the advantages it has to offer.

Some experts think that the best time for young people to learn a new language is at primary school. While this could bring many benefits and drawbacks. I believe that the advantages are far more than the disadvantages.
Learning a foreign language at primary could have some possible disadvantages. Firstly, it could be a waste of time since children need to focus on other subjects such as math, science, and their own mother tongue language, which they might need it more than the foreign one. In today’s modern world, language plays an indispensable role in both studies and jobs as well as during socialising. In addition, they may come across with foreign cultures when learning a foreign language. To illustrate, it can be learnt from the literature and poems. By knowing the culture of others, they may not experience cultural shock and are able to adapt well when staying in other countries for the purpose of studying. They are, obviously, become more knowledgeable and more open-minded which help them to look at a specific issue from different perspectives.
In conclusion, the benefits of learning a foreign language in primary education apparently outweigh the drawbacks. I believe a person equipped with more languages is definitely needed in our society to make our country more prosperous and flourished in the decade to come.

In our modern society, the question whether the children should start to learn a foreign language at the primary school has been widely discussed. A fair portion of people believes that studying a new foreign language at primary school is better than secondary school for children, while others hold the opposite point of view. As for me, I side with the first one.
On the one hand, children at a young age are fast learners. The recent research published an education centre, indicates that children can master different languages as many as five. For some kids in China, they can even start three different languages, such English, French and German together when they are six years old. Apparently, young children have more ability to learn foreign languages.
