In Sound Design Fundamentals: Sampling, we will examine the essentials of Sound Design using Ableton Live and Propellerheads’ Reason software and focusing on principals of Sampling. We will explore three fundamental topics:\r\n
This system keeps the technical jargon to a minimum and gets you making your own sounds quick.\r\n
Dr. Allen is a professional musician, top-rated Udemy instructor, and university professor. In 2017 the Star Tribune featured him as a \»Mover and a Shaker,\» and he is recognized by the Grammy Foundation for his music education classes. \r\n
Throughout this class, If you get stuck, you can review the videos or post a question, and I’ll back to it as fast as possible. \r\n
J. Anthony Allen is an Ableton Certified Trainer, and a PhD in Music Composition and master of Electronic Sounds. His music has been heard internationally in film, radio, video games, and industrial sound, as well as the concert hall and theater.\r\n
And of course, once you sign up any part, you automatically get huge discounts to all the upcoming parts (the next 5!) of this class.\r\n
You will not have another opportunity to learn Ableton Live in a more comprehensive way that this. Start here.\r\n
The course is a roadmap to Mastering Sound Design with any software tool.\r\n

In this class we learn how to work with the piano roll editor in a DAW to make harmonies, melodies, and whole tracks, and then we expand on those ideas and work with harmonic patterns (harmony) that is more rich than just major and minor. \r\n
This class is taught by J. Anthony Allen, who literally wrote the book on this topic. \r\n
While Ableton Live is used in this class, the concepts are easily adaptable to any and all music platforms. So if you use Logic, FL Studio, Reaper, Pro Tools, LMMS, or any of the other DAW programs, you will have no trouble following along.\r\n
Production Techniques Through Theory \r\n
The most important part of this class is an extensive foray into using these techniques in actual tracks. I’ll be creating 9 tracks through this class, right along with you, each using a different technique so you can see exactly how I incorporate it right into my music.\r\n
Full Sessions \r\n
After each production project, I’ll give you the whole session of what I made using the techniques for you to play with. You can download it, expand on it, re-work it, and even release it as your work.\r\n
If Your Music is Missing Something, This is Probably It. \r\n
Who should take this course? \r\n
Anyone interested in producing their own music. This will get you up and running and give your tracks a unique sound in no time.\r\n
This course consists of video lectures, which all contain a session in Ableton Live 9. If you are using a different program (or none at all), no worries! This isn’t a class on how to use Ableton Live, and the concepts can be applied to any DAW.\r\n
In this course, we will cover: \r\n
The course is a roadmap to finding the missing piece in your tracks, or just getting started making great tracks.\r\n
And of course, once you sign up any part, you automatically get huge discounts to all the upcoming parts of this class.\r\n

Welcome to the \»Musician’s Guide\» Series!\r\n
This class is all about Band Partnerships and Legal Issues. In other words: How bands (and any musical collaboration) work together. In this class, I’ll give you a template for a typical agreement between band members, and walk you through what everything means.\r\n
It is ideal for anyone who is in a band or wants to start a band. Especially:\r\n
The goal of this class is for you to understand how bands work together, and how to keep from suing each other once you start making money!\r\n
This course is NOT specific to any DAW program.\r\n
Topics Covered: \r\n
If you are ready to start making money from your music, and making sure you are all protected, this class will start you on that journey. Get started today.\r\n

[Gotye:] Now and then I think of when we were together Like when you said you felt so happy you could die Told myself that you were right for me But felt so lonely in your company But that was love and it’s an ache I still remember
You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness Like resignation to the end, always the end So when we found that we could not make sense Well you said that we would still be friends But I’ll admit that I was glad that it was over
But you didn’t have to cut me off Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing And I don’t even need your love But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough No you didn’t have to stoop so low Have your friends collect your records and then change your number I guess that I don’t need that though Now you’re just somebody that I used to know
Now you’re just somebody that I used to know Now you’re just somebody that I used to know
[Kimbra:] Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over But had me believing it was always something that I’d done But I don’t wanna live that way Reading into every word you say You said that you could let it go And I wouldn’t catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know
[Gotye:] But you didn’t have to cut me off Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing And I don’t even need your love But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough No you didn’t have to stoop so low Have your friends collect your records and then change your number I guess that I don’t need that though Now you’re just somebody that I used to know

Do you want to learn how to play the guitar from scratch? Or do you already have some experience and want to take your guitar skills to the next level?\r\n
Then this course is just right for you!\r\n
In this course, Philipp shows you everything about the instrument itself, strings, tuning, metronome, pyramid of rythm, fretting hand, strumming hand, all basic chords, barre chords, song work, picking technique, percussive playing and during the course you will learn 28 evergreen songs to practice with your newly learned skills.\r\n
But what exactly will you learn in this course?\r\n
Introduction and Welcome: To start off this course, Philipp will give you a first and detailed look into your new best friend and the main focus of this course: Your guitar. You will learn how to hold your guitar correctly, what the six strings are called, how to tune your guitar correctly, how to use a metronome, how to use a drumbeat for better practice, why a rhythm pyramid is useful and of course everything about your strumming and picking hand.\r\n
Basic Chords: Chords are the foundation for making music with the guitar. After completing the course you will be able to accompany all the songs of the world. You will learn the following chords: Em, G, Am, C, D, Dm, E, A, F, Bm, Bb, and F#m. After you have mastered these chords you will be able to practice them using the training beat from this chapter.\r\n
First Song Examples: Being able to play the chords alone won’t do you much good. Therefore, we have integrated very simple songs with simple chord progressions into the course. You will be able to play the following songs at the end of this chapter: Knocking On Heaven’s Door, Runaway Train by Soul Asylum, What’s Up by 4 Non Blondesю\r\n
7th, Sus and Barre chords: When you have mastered the basics of the guitar, you will quickly reach the point where you can’t go any further. The basic chords are important, but can also quickly become boring. That is why we created this section, where Philipp explains how you can add a little necessary spice into your guitar playing. You will know the following chords after completing this chapter: C7, D7, Dm7, E7, Em7, G7, A7, Am7, B7, Dsus2, Dsus4, Esus4, Asus2, Asus4, the E-Shape, the Em- Shape, the A-Shape and the Am-Shape.\r\n
Picking Technique: Are you bored by ordinary strumming patterns and want to be able to play great melodies? In this chapter you will learn everything about the ideal picking style on the guitar. Philipp also dives into techniques such as pull offs and hammer ons. What are you waiting for? Have a look at the first videos. \r\n
Song Work: Do you feel confident with your guitar? Then it’s time to take the next step. You can either look for lead sheets on your own or you can try to write songs yourself. Philipp will give you all you need for doing song work and writing your first piece of music.\r\n
Percussive Play: While watching the videos you will notice that Philipp has his own philosophy of playing the guitar. You will be able to see your guitar as a whole band of musicians. Dividing your strings into base drum and high notes can make a huge difference. That is why Philipp brought his prumming patterns to life. \r\n
28 Songs: Philipp and I believe that only applied knowledge can really be used in the long term. So we specifically picked out songs for every technique and every type of chord so that you can practice your newly learned skills the best way possible. You will be able to play the following songs after completing this course (with a lot of spice): Knocking On Heaven’s Door, Runaway Train, What’s Up, Wonderwall, Hollywood Hills, Viva La Vida, Salt, Castle On The Hill, Back To Black, Let It Be, Perfect, When You Say Nothing At All, Californication, With Or Without You, Use Somebody, Bad Moon Rising, I Follow Rivers, Shape Of You, Save Tonight, Dance Monkey, Umbrella, Watermelon Sugar, Fix You, Torn, She’s The One, Mad World and Streets of London.\r\n
Q&A: Since Philipp is often asked the same questions, we have created a chapter to answer them in video form. So if you have a question and it doesn’t appear in this chapter, we’ll be happy to create a video to answer your question.\r\n
This course is for anyone who wants to be picked up where they are and then elevate a few levels higher.\r\n
So what are you waiting for? Enroll in this course today and start learning how to play the guitar!\r\n
We are looking forward to see you soon :)\r\n
