Plonk yourself in the driver’s seat and hold fast on the reins for an immersive journey with 3 new possible companions, one of whom was created specifically for the game!

Before you can play the translation, you’ll need to patch the game on your computer using a legal copy of the ROM. There are two methods by which this can be done, online, via the ROMhacking.net download page, and locally by downloading an additional piece of software.

SOFTWARE METHOD
-Download DeltaPatcher
-Extract the file, and run either DeltaPatcher or DeltaPatcherLite
-‘Original file’ should be your copy of the ROM, as an ‘.nds’ filetype.
-For ‘XDelta patch’, choose the ‘UmioWataruPatch.xdelta’ file.
-Hit apply patch, and you’re good to go!
*Note that this will overwrite your original file. If you’d like to keep a copy of it instead, change the settings by clicking the cog icon, and tick “Backup original file”. This will create a new ‘—PATCHED.nds’ file instead.

***NOTE: ROM DUMP COMPATIBILITY***
This patch is designed to work with a 100% correctly dumped ROM (CRC: B2EA6D73).
If your ROM is a bad dump (CRC: CC9640AB), you can apply the «bad_to_good.xdelta» patch BEFORE applying the translation patch by following the guide above.

Spice and Wolf (bathhouse)

Spice and Wolf is a bathhouse owned and operated by Kraft Lawrence and his wife Holo, located in the village of Nyohhira.

Layout [ ]

Spice and Wolf has private access to several natural hot springs of various size that the bathhouse maintains, partitioned off from public view. Down the path from the springs stands the main house. The building has two stories; the ground floor has a dining hall, and a separate kitchen which is the domain of Hanna, the cook. On the second floor is Lawrence and Holo’s bedroom, within which is a desk where Lawrence apparently does his paperwork. Their daughter Myuri has a room of her own, as does Tote Col.

Around the back of the main house is the cellar where the edible goods are stored.

Services [ ]

The customers of Spice and Wolf are usually nobility, directors of huge commercial firms, or high-ranking clergy of the Church. Clergy will usually request the trappings required for praying early in the morning, which the bathhouse will then comply with.

The kitchen offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Towels and coats are provided for guests when they head out to the baths. Entertainment is sourced by independent musicians and dancing girls who work for tips; it is up to the bathhouse to provide appropriate props to enhance their performances, which raises tips and keeps the performers returning for work. Lawrence manages who performs at which bath in a way that keeps the entertainers happy.

Spice and Wolf

Spice and Wolf (狼と香辛料, Ōkami to Kōshinryō, lit. «Wolf and Spice») (stylized as Spice & Wolf) is a light novel series written by Isuna Hasekura with illustrations by Jyuu Ayakura. The series began on February 10, 2006 and is still ongoing. Yen Press holds the license to translate and release the series in English. [1]

A traveling merchant’s job is a lonely one. Since his work requires him to always be on the move, Kraft Lawrence keeps his focus on collecting profit in the hopes of being able to open up his own store one day. During one of his stops, he inadvertantly frees a wolf spirit named Holo. Unlike Lawrence, she has been tied down to a single village for centuries due to an ancient promise. Since it seems like the village people no longer have need of her, she takes a chance with the flustered merchant, asking him if he might be able to bring her back to her distant hometown of Yoitsu. Cunning, wise, and not without a fair amount of mischievousness, Holo may just be the business partner Lawrence never knew he needed.

10th Anniversary [ ]

In 2016, Hasekura revisited the series in order to celebrate its 10th anniversary. In addition to beginning a spin-off series, he continued Lawrence and Holo’s story. Each of these new volumes have the subtitle Spring Log, and are a collection of short stories and novellas.

Taking place ten years after the events of the 17th light novel, these stories are about the daily lives of Lawrence and Holo as a married couple, bathhouse owners, and parents.
