Программа “Two Worlds” не работает.

Возникшая проблема привела к прекращению работы программы. Windows закроет эту программу, а если есть известный способ устранения проблемы, уведовит вас об этом.

Вот такое сообщение появляется при попылке запустить игру Two Worlds Epic Edition.

Ошибка может возникать в Windows 7 и выше. Здесь приведено решение проблемы на примере Windows 8.1, но и в других версиях нужно проделать точно то же. Может быть, какие-то пункты меню будут называться немного иначе, но общий смысл не изменится.

Это происходит из-за того, что игра несовместима с современными драйверами PhysX от nVidia.
Но это не беда, потому что nVidia на этот случай выпустила специальную версию драйверов, с которой будут работать старые игры.

Скачать их можно здесь: Legacy драйвера nVidia PhysX.
(Нажимайте там зелёную кнопку, чтобы пошла загрузка)

Но для начала нужно удалить уже установленные драйвера, иначе эти могут не встать.
Для этого проделайте следующее:

Возможно, при установке драйвера вы увидите сообщение об ошибке:

NVIDIA PhysX Setup.

The currently installed version of the drivers is newer than what you are trying to install. Aborting the installation.

Это значит, что у вас уже установлена современная версия драйверов (с которой не работает игры). Закройте это окно кнопкой Cancel и удалите вначале драйвера (пункты 1-5). Затем снова запускайте установку. Если не помогло — перезагрузите компьютер.

Title says it all. Trying to play. When i use the legacy physX installer, it says «the currently installed version of the drivers is newer than what you are trying to install» and cancels the installation. Any help with this?

Edit: Uninstalled and reinstalled the legacy physx and it’s still crashing on launch.

Edit 2: So the fix I found is the stupidest thing ever. I had to move it to the C drive on my PC and now it works.

What I’ve collected so far on startup issues for this game:

For anyone who still has this problem from now on if you install the latest Direct X Web Installer it will fix this issue

On my game and a few others by this maker I found going into the 2560×1080 mode will cause a force close. only fix i found is registry path:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Reality Pump\TwoWorlds\Graphics

edit the hex numbers for the height and width there and start..

I used A00 for the 2560 and 438 for the 1080 and you get full screen if you find the same problems.

Also try installing the Nvidia Physx legacy system software:

I try to load the game (I’ve tried all 3 options) and the same thing happens no matter what update or driver I install. It says it’s running and then it says syncing and then it stops, and that’s it nothing ever happens.

Fixed it by updating DirecX quite simple.

is that work with amd?

Did you play the demo version ok?

As, I am about to buy it.

Had to refund a few games already due to no start issues.

That’s how I solved the problem here:

Right click on «Mafia2.exe. Properties. Compatibility. Run compatibility troubleshooter. Try recommended settings. Test the program».

In my case the game launched, but the video was not OK, so I quitted the game, went back to «Mafia2.exe. Properties. Compatibility» and unchecked «Run program in compatibility mode». Now the game is OK.
