The diagram illustrates the process that is used to manufacture bricks for the building industry. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The flowchart describes how bricks are made and delivered to the building industry.
Overall, there are 7 main stages in the process, beginning with the excavation of clay and ending with the delivering stage.
The first step in the process is to dig up clay from the ground with the help of the digger. Subsequently, the excavated clay is put on a grid made of metal and rolled using the roller. In the following stage, after sand and water is added, the mixture is then shaped into the forms of brick using either the mould or the wire cutter. Following the formation step, bricks are put into the oven and dried for one to two days.
The process continues with the bricks being fired in the kiln at moderate temperature of 200 to 980 Celsius degree. After that, they are heated under the higher temperature of up to 1300 Celsius degree before being cooled for two or three days. In the next stage, bricks are packaged. The entire process concludes with the delivery of bricks to the customers.

This page illustrates an example of an IELTS process.
Occasionally you will have to desribe a process in the test instead of a graph.
Although this type of diagram is less common to see in the test, it is still important to have an understanding of how to tackle this should it arise.

The Brick Manufacturing Process
IELTS Process Model Answer
The diagram explains the way in which bricks are made for the building industry. Overall, there are seven stages in the process, beginning with the digging up of clay and culminating in delivery.
To begin, the clay used to make the bricks is dug up from the ground by a large digger. This clay is then placed onto a metal grid, which is used to break up the clay into smaller pieces. A roller assists in this process.В
Following this, sand and water are added to the clay, and this mixture is turned into bricks by either placing it into a mould or using a wire cutter. Next, these bricks are placed in an oven to dry for 24 – 48 hours.В
In the subsequent stage, the bricks go through a heating and cooling process. They are heated in a kiln at a moderate and then a high temperature (ranging from 200c to 1300c), followed by a cooling process in a chamber for 2 – 3 days. Finally, the bricks are packed and delivered to their destinations.
Comments
This is a good answer as it covers the requirements of the task.
The topic of the IELTS process diagram is first introduced and then an overview is given. You should give an overview for all academic task 1 responses, not just graphs.
In this case, here is the overview:
Overall, there are seven stages in the process, beginning with the digging up of clay and culminating in delivery.
The answer is well-structured, covering each stage of the process in turn.В
It uses the passive voiceВ which is needed when you describe a process diagram in IELTS but you are not referring to who is doing the action. Here are some examples of the passive used:

Band 8 IELTS report sample
The diagram illustrates the process that is used to manufacture bricks for the building industry. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The given diagram describes how the bricks are made for the building industry. Overall there are seven processes in the production of bricks starting with the digging of clay and ending with the delivery of bricks.
First of all, the clay needed to make bricks is dug from the earth with the help of a digger. Then, the dug clay is spread on the metal grid and placed above the roller. Next, sand and water is added to the clay and this mixture is either poured into the mould or undergoes wire cutting to make bricks.
Following this, the bricks are placed for drying in the oven for 1-2 days. Subsequently, they are first heated in a kiln at a moderate temperature of 200 degree – 980 degree C and then at a high temperature of 870 – 1300 degree C respectively. The bricks are then cooled for 48-72 hours. Finally, the bricks are packed and delivered to their destination by trucks.
Brick making process report sample 2
The diagram illustrates / shows the six stages involved in the production of bricks. First of all, clay which is the primary resource has to be retrieved using a digger machine. Subsequently, this clay is spread on a metal grid atop a roller. Afterwards sand and water are added to it. This mixture is then cut into the shape of bricks. It is done either using a wire cutter or a mould. These bricks are then placed in a drying oven for about 24-48 hours. The bricks are then subjected to heating. First, they are heated to a moderate temperature (200 to 980 degree Celsius) in a kiln. Afterwards they are heated to a high temperature (870 to 1300 degree Celsius) in another chamber of the kiln. The heated bricks are then cooled in a cooling chamber for 48 to 72 hours. Lastly, the bricks are neatly packaged and transported to various construction sites or warehouses.
