Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for Festival Fun Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, Hagrid informed you that Hogwarts is planning a celebration of magic. This festival will feature many interesting activities such as outdoor lessons, dueling, dancing, and much more. Most importantly, it will be a perfect opportunity for you to invite your crush on a date. Before you got the chance to figure out who to ask out, you received a message from a secret admirer. Now it’s up to you to solve this mystery and discover who sent you the message. Once you start this part, you will be met with a waiting period of two hours. Since you’ll likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait until the timer runs out and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 5 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 5 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story. Walkthrough for this part has been updated in May 2022.]

Once the waiting time is over, proceed to Hagrid’s Garden to attend the outdoors Charms class.

Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of your friends and check out what they have to say.

Professor Flitwick will welcome everyone to his class.

He’ll inform you that the topic of this lesson will be reviewing the Shrinking Charm.

And Hagrid will happily allow everyone to practice this spell on his giant pumpkins before heading off to the Quidditch Pitch to do some preparations for the festival.

Shortly after, the lesson will start.

Ben will notice that something’s bothering you.

You’ll quickly fill him in on the recent events.

He’ll ask you about the gift you received.

Charlie will find it odd that someone would use a gobstone as a gift.

Ben will ask you about the secret admirers. You can feel free to pick any of these options since they won’t have a significant impact on the story. Also, if you completed the First Date adventure, you will get some extra lines of dialogue here.

Moments later, Professor Flitwick will notice that you are chatting and he’ll ask you to focus on the lesson.

Practicing spellcasting requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this lesson if you are low on energy.

Focus on 5-cost actions to save some energy. You will find these linked to Ben and Professor Flitwick.

When you’re done practicing, the Professor will ask everyone to demonstrate the Shrinking Charm. Trace the wand movement to cast Reducio.

The spell will work and Hagrid’s pumpkin will be significantly reduced in size.

Unfortunately, you won’t be as successful in figuring out who your secret admirer is.

Perhaps the gobstone you received is some kind of clue?

Your thoughts will be interrupted by Jae.

Charlie will tell him about your secret admirer.

You’ll explain what happened.

As for Ben and Charlie, both of them will say that they aren’t interested in dating at the moment.

All this talk about dating will make Jae uncomfortable.

You’ll decide to go to the Three Broomsticks next.

Charlie will inform you that both Merula and Penny are using the place as their ‘campaign headquarters’.

When you arrive, you’ll notice that the place is quite crowded. You’ll also be able to chat with some of the characters by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

Tonks will notice you arriving, and she’ll invite you to her table.

Just as you start heading there, Penny will interrupt you and ask if you’re planning to vote for her. If you want Penny to be your date, it is somewhat recommended to give her your vote. Otherwise, you can feel free to decline, she won’t hold it against you.

You’ll notice that your Hufflepuff friend is in a very good mood.

She’ll admit that she is very excited about the festival.

She’ll also drop some subtle hints. If you dated Penny before, you will get some additional dialogue lines here.

Shortly after, she’ll decide to get back to campaigning.

The Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts will approach you and assume you are plotting against her.

If you decided to vote for Merula earlier, you’ll let her know about it.

Merula will admit that you’re driving her mad. If you went on a date with her, you’ll get some additional lines of dialogue.

Merula will then decide to get back to campaigning.

And you will finally join Tonks at her table.

You will notice an envelope on the desk next to your butterbeer.

Tonks will explain how it got there.

Also, she will admit she couldn’t resist reading it.

You’ll tell her this is not the first message you received from your secret admirer.

Naturally, Tonks will want to hear all about it.

Examining the message requires obtaining five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is not recommended to start this task if your energy bar is empty.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Tonks and your character. Prioritize these if you want to save a bit of energy.

You’ll read the note aloud once you are done.

Tonks will find it quite amusing.

She will also say that whoever wrote the note is a dreadful poet.

You will then notice that the handwriting is different in this note.

Could this mean you have more than one secret admirer?

You’ll ask Tonks if she knows of a place where you can think this through.

She’ll nod and ask you to follow her.

Go to Zonko’s Joke Shop when you are ready.

You will find it odd that Tonks is still interested in pranks.

She’ll explain that she sometimes comes to Zonko’s to check on new items.

Bilton will happily greet her.

He’ll ask if you also want to take a look at his new inventory.

You will be very surprised to see her at Zonko’s.

She’ll explain why she came to the shop.

She’ll also say she’s glad you found her.

Chiara will then ask what you are looking for.

This is when the previous choice will take effect. If you agreed with Bilton’s suggestion, you’ll tell her you’re looking for some Hiccough Sweets. Otherwise, you’ll say you’re unsure.

Chiara will offer to help you find whatever you’re looking for. She’ll also offer to help you with your troubles.

You’ll be surprised for a moment.

She will tell you she has excellent hearing, and she is also a good listener.

Sharing your troubles with Chiara requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

The only 5-cost action here is tied to your character. Focus on your own actions if you want to save a bit of energy.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to find what you were looking for.

Once again, the previous choice will have an effect on the following lines of dialogue.

You will thank Chiara for listening to your troubles.

If you completed the Halloween Feast and Lone Wolf adventures, you will get some additional dialogue lines.

Suddenly, Chiara will say she has to go.

You’ll be puzzled by this.

Still, Chiara will simply say she’s not suited to help you and she’ll quickly leave the shop.

This will make you even more confused.

Tonks will then inform you that Andre’s been looking for you.

You’ll realize that you’ve completely forgotten about your festival outfit and you’ll quickly head back to the castle.

Proceed to the Transfiguration classroom when you’re ready.

He’ll also point out that you were the one who inspired him in the first place.

If you completed Let the Festivities Begin adventure, you’ll get some additional lines of dialogue.

You’ll nod and agree that he’s right about that.

You’ll then get to talk to him about your festival outfit.

This requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting the task if you are out of energy.

There are 5-cost actions linked to Andre and the mannequins. Prioritize these if you are looking to save some energy.

It seems that you’ll have two outfit options to choose from.

Still, there is a lot of work for Andre to do before your festival outfit is ready.

He’ll notice that something’s bothering you.

You will tell him it’s related to your festival date.

Andre will say that’s why he’s not currently interested in dating.

Still, he’ll ask you to tell him more about your problem.

You will tell him about the notes you received.

Andre will be quite intrigued by this whole mystery.

This will remind you that you’ve yet to choose a date for the festival.

But before that, you’ll decide to solve the Case of the Secret Admirers.
