Euro Truck Simulator is a Simulation Game in which you drive trucks in Europe. Developed and published by SCS Software, two installments of the series exist so far: The original, released in 2008, and its 2012 sequel, Euro Truck Simulator 2, which is the «official» and current installment of the series, adding improved graphics, official truck licenses, and RPG Elements. Though either dismissed as Fun for Some or enjoyed ironically through Mundane Made Awesome Major League Gaming parody videos and drunken livestreams by most gamers, Euro Truck Simulator 2 has received consistent critical praise such that it has been in continuous content development for a decade as of 2022, with many reviews upholding the game as a real-life Lethal Joke Item: an addictive and deep driving game which will reward players who do not immediately dismiss it as yet another simulation game with a mundane premise.

It has a coffee-swilling cousin over the Atlantic known as American Truck Simulator. Not unexpectedly, this sequel is the one that takes place in the United States of America. Along with replacing the cab-over trucks found in Europe with American conventional trucks, it also introduced weigh stations to the series, because America has weigh stations.

Do not confuse with Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, a much lazier attempt to depict rigs in video games. Or Big Mutha Truckers, a more fantastic take on the Big Badass Rig in video games.

Геймплей

Действие игры разворачивается в некоторых странах Евросоюза (Германия, Франция, Италия, Испания, Португалия, Нидерланды, Бельгия, Австрия, Чехия,Великобритания, Польша) и Швейцарии. Для того, чтобы продвинуться в соседнюю страну, нужно покупать лицензию. В процессе игры нужно пройти 5 уровней сложности. Водителей в отличие от игр серии 18 Wheels of Steel нанимать нельзя. В игре присутствуют грузовики следующих марок: Runner (Renault Magnum), Majestic (Mercedes-Benz Actros), Valiant (Volvo) и Swift (Scania).

В 2009 году было выпущено дополнение Gold Edition, где была добавлена Великобритания (Лондон, Манчестер, Ньюкасл).

Euro Truck Simulator 2 — игра в жанре симулятора дальнобойщика с элементами экономической стратегии. Разрабатывается и издается чешской компанией SCS Software. Официальный релиз состоялся 18 октября 2012 года, в Steam игра вышла в январе 2013. Является продолжением Euro Truck Simulator, который увидел свет в 2008 году. В России была издана компанией 1C под названием «С грузом по Европе 3».

Игра была создана на собственном движке SCS Software «Prism3D» который был серьезно доработан и оптимизирован.

Содержание

Игровой процесс [ ]

В игре вы должны возить грузы по различным городам Европы, а также управлять своей транспортной компанией. Изначально (после создания нового профиля) вы можете заниматься лишь заказами агентств, поскольку у вас нет своего грузовика, но в дальнейшем вы сможете купить свой собственный грузовик и заниматься прямыми перевозками, зарабатывать больше денег, поднять свой уровень, покупать гаражи, нанимать дальнобойщиков в свою компанию и т.д.

Симуляция усталости [ ]

В игре существует симуляция усталости. При управлении грузовиком дольше 9 игровых часов с момента последнего отдыха вы начинаете зевать за рулём и закрывать глаза (выражается затемнением экрана). Затем вас начнут штрафовать за «Нарушение режима труда и отдыха». В конце концов, экран затемнится полностью, и вы попадете в ДТП.

Этого можно избежать, заехав на отдых в гостиницу. Гостиницы располагаются в «карманах» вблизи двухполосных дорог, рядом с АЗС, у въездов/выездов с платных автодорог и на границах большей части стран.

Скоростной режим [ ]

В игре также присутствуют ограничения скорости. Наибольшая разрешённая скорость на любом отрезке пути отображается на вашем Route Advisor/на навигаторе (если он есть в салоне вашего грузовика). Максимальная скорость всех грузовиков в игре по умолчанию ограничена на отметке 90 км/ч (отключается в настройках игры). В некоторых случаях она может увеличиваться при движении по крутым спускам и снижаться на подъёмах при работающем круиз-контроле, однако на ровной дороге скорость возвращается до заданной.

На континенте максимально разрешённая скорость обычно не превышает 130 км/ч, однако при ремонтных работах она сокращается до 100 км/ч. Такая же скорость наблюдается и на подъездах к городам. В городах она не превышает 50-60 км/ч, а на двухполосных трассах находится в пределах 70-80 км/ч. На шестиполосных автобанах Германии скорость ограничена только на некоторых участках. В Великобритании максимальная скорость в городах ограничена до 30 миль/ч (48 км/ч), на участках дорог, где проводятся ремонтные работы и на некоторых мостах до 50 миль/ч (80 км/ч), на остальных дорогах и автомагистралях до 60 миль/ч (97 км/ч).

В обычной игре есть 72 города, расположившихся в 12 странах. В игре появились несколько новых стран, таких как Люксембург и Словакия. Карты Британии и Германии были перенесены из UK Truck Simulator и German Truck Simulator и немного доработаны. В общей сложности все дополнения добавляют в игру ещё 90 городов, расположенных в 9 новых странах.

5 сентября 2013 года для Euro Truck Simulator 2 было выпущено первое DLC под названием «Going East!». С тех пор для игры вышло более 50 платных дополнений. My company name is Northstar Haulage, based out of London, my home town for real.

I only have 3 garages so far, 2 with 5 capacity one with 3, my strategy is to have my main garages in each capital city before spreading out to the second city, etc, until total domination or until I get bored.

So I have the UK home nations covered with garages in London, Edinburgh and Cardiff, next will be Amsterdam then probably Bern.

My fleet is all entry level Volvo except for my tricked out custom Volvo and one Scania 420hp that I gave to a random driver.

Me Me has had 105 drivers on several locations (25 garages), then i started over with the TSM 2.0 Map mod from scratch wih actually 5 drivers lcated at Groningen/Netherlands. I will buy another garage in central germany like Duisburg, Hannover or Magdeburg to place some drivers there, able to deliver and find back with not much experience. All my drivers have most upgraded trucks (as possible).

Amsterdam and Rotterdam are great for GB/Europe mainland traffic, yes, but now, located at Groningen, which is also a nice city, you may have more NL to DE traffic (Hamburg, Bremen, etc), which makes it easier for the hired drivers o find jobs or short back deliveries as well.

Brown Lemming Trucks operating out of Luxembourg. I currently have 4 garages maxed out (Luxembourg, Liverpool, Frankfurt and Wien) and 19 trucks (All Volvos) My personal trucks obviously been upgraded with the best kit but ive standardised the rest of the fleet so that they all have the same gear, look and cost. ($120880 a rig)

Ive tried to employ only female drivers as a kind of company characteristic with me as the «Big Daddy» but after the 17th I have to start employing men, Reece looks kinda effeminate so ive employed him. (I need MOAR women)

My business strategy is to open everyones skills so that they can do any sort of delivery and then concentrate on maxing the long range delivery skill. I only boost the eco driving to 1 so that at least theres some benefit but ecomomy of fuel isn’t a high priority for me. (No point in having economy if they cant drive anywhere)

Trying to avoid Switzerland and Scotland like the plague because their roads/drivers are a nightmare but Scotland does have some juicy «chemical» jobs.

My company name is Dibarkis Global Inc. I have 2 profiles, one is the regular map, and on that one, My HQ is Innsbruck. I loved Innsbruck because of airport (I’m a flight simmer and that airport is a challenging airport to land on), so I toyed with the idea of setting my HQ there, but before I could make up my mind, I clicked it by mistake, and couldn’t change it. Here are a list of the garages:

I have 11 garages, the first 2 (Innsbruck and Berlin) are 5-truck, while the rest are 3-truck garages, making 37 trucks and 37 drivers. The lowest of the drivers is rating 6.7, I believe. My trucks range are mostly Volvo, except a few MAN, Majestic and DAF. Just one Scania (the first I ever bought), I transferred it to my first driver, Ruth. I believe I have 5 Renault Magnums, and because they’re cheap, they were all tricked out to max when they were bought. All others are almost all tricked out, depending on driver’s performance (make good money, and I make your truck pretty) but I purchased them all with the best engines and gearboxes. I didn’t really have a strategy at the beginning, but as time went on, and I discovered where the better paying jobs came from, I opened a garage in Aberdeen and another in Bratislava.

You can already do that, if you know how to make a mod for the game. It works for both games ETS2 and ATS.

You will never see SCS make it, becouse it would be to difficult to do, they have not a change to know how all there players want there truck to look. Imagine what they have to do to make a lot of company names, what fronts type would you use for this they will need all of them in the game. change size of the logo’s and some other want a show truck with paint skins with motives.

So it not poseble to handle at all for SCS.
