Например, в книге Гарри Поттер и Кубок Огня лже-Грозный Глаз Грюм (а на самом деле — Барти Крауч младший) учил четверокурсников сопротивляться заклятию «Империус». Это пригодилось Гарри в поединке с Волан-де-Мортом.

В книге Гарри Поттер и Дары Смерти Гарри сам использовал это заклинание на гоблинах и пожирателе смерти, когда грабил банк Гринготс.

Основные заклинания

Ниже приведен алфавитный список заклинаний, упоминаемых в семи романах Дж. К. Роулинг и в пяти играх и фильмах о Гарри Поттере.

Заклинания, выделенные курсивом, употребляются только в играх. Подчеркнутые используются в фильмах.

Адский огонь

Авис (с лат. Avis «птица») — заклинание, используя которое можно создавать птиц, то есть живых существ, что без длительной практики невозможно. Это заклинание начинают изучать только на шестом году обучения в Хогвартсе. Именно этим заклинанием проверяет состояние волшебной палочки Виктора Крама мастер Олливандер на церемонии проверки палочек чемпионов перед турниром трёх волшебников. [4]

Агуаменти

Агуаменти (Aguamenti) — заклинание, позволяющее создавать чистую питьевую воду. Может использоваться как для питья, так и для различных других потребностей: например, тушения пожара, в хозяйственных целях. Например, когда Альбус Дамблдор и Гарри искали медальон-крестраж, Дамблдор был вынужден выпить зелье, находившееся в чаше, так как иным способом медальон было невозможно достать. Его начала мучить страшная жажда. Гарри попытался помочь учителю, используя это заклятье, которое, впрочем, не сработало: ни наколдованная вода, ни принесённая с собой при этой жажде не помогала. Как и было задумано спрятавшим крестраж Волан-де-Мортом.

Несколько позже Гарри помогает тушить подожжённую хижину Хагрида с помощью заклинания «агуаменти». В этот раз заклинание сработало в полную силу.

Возможно, что адаптированное к русскому «Агуа» происходит от лат. Aqua — «вода».

Акцио

А́кцио (англ. Accio ) — заклинание «Манящих чар» (англ. Summoning Charm ). Притягивает к использующему заклятие магу необходимый ему предмет, причем заклинатель должен либо назвать этот предмет, либо указать на него палочкой. Манящими чарами можно призвать предмет, находящийся вне поля зрения. Для этого заклинания существуют контрзаклятья, но они недостаточно освещаются в книге. «Акцио» возможно использовать не везде и не для всех предметов. Заклинание изучается студентами Хогвартса в рамках предмета «Заклинания» на 4 курсе. «Акцио» скорее всего произошло от лат. accio (призываю, приглашаю). Впервые заклинание употребляется в книге «Гарри Поттер и Кубок Огня», когда миссис Уизли выуживала из карманов Фреда и Джорджа «Ужастики Умников Уизли», и в той же книге играет важную роль. Так, во время первого испытания в Турнире Трёх Волшебников Гарри этим заклинанием призвал свою гоночную метлу «Молнию», и тем самым выиграл тур, а после дуэли с Волан-де-мортом Гарри этим заклинанием притянул Кубок Трёх Волшебников, являющийся порталом, и перенёсся в Хогвартс вместе с трупом Седрика, и тем самым спасся от неминуемой смерти. А ещё Гарри на 4 курсе призвал яйцо

Алохомора

Алохомо́ра (англ. Alohomora ) — заклинание, отпирающее замки. Однако, заклинание действует не на все замки: например, дверь, ведущую в подземелье с Волшебными Шахматами, заклинанием открыть не удалось. Обратное заклинание — Коллопортус. Название заклинания произошло предположительно от латинского alo hoc mora — «я преодолеваю препятствие». Второй вариант происхождения — комбинация гавайского aloha («привет/прощай») с латинским mora («препятствие»). Впервые заклинание употребляется в книге «Гарри Поттер и философский камень» — Гермиона Грейнджер открыла этим заклинанием дверь на запрещённый третий этаж в 1991 году. И также воспользовалась, чтобы отпереть окно в кабинете Филиуса Флитвика, чтобы освободить Сириуса Блэка в 1994 году.

Однако существуют контрзаклятья, накладываемые на замок, после чего Алохомора становится бесполезным. В играх с помощью этого заклинания можно отпереть запертые двери и сундуки с бонусами.

Алохомора переводится с сидики как «хорош для кражи». [8]

Вингардиум Левиоса

Вингардиум Левиоса (Wingardium Leviosa) — Заклятие Левитации, заставляющее предмет взлететь. Изучаются студентами Хогвартса в рамках предмета «Заклинания».

Впервые употребляется в игре «Гарри Поттер и философский камень», когда профессор Флитвик учит Гарри заклинанию Вингардиум Левиоса. Для этого необходимо провести мышкой символ «W». В дальнейшем, нацелиться на предмет с помощью Alt (или левой клавиши мыши), увидеть этот символ, и отпустить. Всё становится легче в игре Гарри Поттер и Орден Феникса — необходимо всего лишь вести мышкой при нажатой левой клавише горизонтально вправо-влево.

Ешь слизней

Ешь слизней — образовывает внутри ротовой полости гигантских слизней. Формулировка не указана, в некоторых источниках была найдена формулировка «Harkirvis Machav». В книге «Гарри Поттер и Тайная Комната» [2] заклинание сработало именно после первой, а не второй формулировки. Возможно, это вызвано неисправной палочкой Рона.

Импервиус

Импервиус (Impervius) — используется для ограждения от внешнего физического воздействия воды, воздуха, любых других веществ и предметов.

Левикорпус

Легилименция (Легилименс)

Легимеленс (Legilimens) — заклинание легилименции, позволяет проникать в чужой разум и читать мысли или даже принуждать к действиям.

Либеракорпус

Либерако́рпус (Liberacorpus) — невербальное, прекращает действие заклинания Левикорпус. Противник падает на землю. Изобретено Северусом Снеггом.

Люмос

Лю́мос (Lumos) — Зажигает огонь на конце палочки (в играх показывает скрытые проходы в стенах и платформы).

Надзор

Однако «Надзор» каким-то образом можно обойти. Так, когда группа волшебников забирает Гарри с Тисовой улицы на пл. Гриммо, они колдуют в доме Дурслей направо и налево. Возможно, человек, приставленный контролировать «разумное ограничение магии несовершеннолетних» на время был выведен из строя.

Окклюменция

Окклюме́нция (Occlumency, лат. occulto — скрывать) — защитная ментальная практика, скрывает разум от воздействия извне, в частности, от легилименции. Формулы нет.

Остолбеней

Остолбене́й (окаменей) (Stupefy) — оглушающее заклинание. Противник ненадолго ввергается в шок и не в состоянии что-либо предпринять. Отличается от Петрификус Тоталус тем, что противник замирает в той позе, в которой его застало заклинание, а не вытягивается по стойке «смирно».

Портус

Портус (Portus) — заклинание, с помощью которого создается портал. Запрещено использовать без официального разрешения Министерства магии.Возможно применять к любому физическому объекту.

Приори Инкантатем

Приори Инкантатем (Priori Incantatem, Prior Incantato) — особое заклинание, вызывающее образ последнего заклинания, совершённого данной палочкой. Заклинание, прекращающее действие Приори Инкантатем — Делетриус. Это заклинание в книге «Гарри Поттер и Кубок Огня» произнёс Амос Диггори над палочкой Гарри Поттера, когда кто-то, пользуясь его палочкой вызвал Чёрную метку (заклинание Морсмордре) во время беспорядков Пожирателей смерти после Чемпионата мира по Квиддичу.

Эффект Приори Инкантатэм также может случиться, когда две родственные палочки заставляют сражаться друг против друга их хозяева. В этом случае палочка-победительница вытягивает из своей «сестры» последние заклинания, совершённые ею, в обратном порядке. Во время легендарной схватки в финале турнира Трёх Волшебников на кладбище между Тёмным лордом и Гарри, это заклинание стало непроизвольным явлением нежелания родственных палочек противостоять друг другу. Когда хозяева всё же заставили их сражаться друг с другом, произошло редчайшее явление: палочка Волан-де-Морта стала выдавать в обратном порядке все свои действия. Появившиеся жертвы: Седрик Диггори, Фрэнк Брайс, Берта Джоркинс, Лили и Джеймс Поттеры — спасли Гарри, кратковременно закрыв его собой от Волан-де-Морта, и дав Гарри возможность добежать до портала.

Протего

Проте́го (Protego) — Защитные чары. Отражение заклинания противника. Действует не на все заклятия. Создаёт как бы волшебный невидимый щит между нападающим и защищающимся. Слабое заклинание может срикошетить обратно в нападающего. Заклинание считается простым, однако и для его успешного применения нужна практика. Когда Фред и Джордж Уизли начали шутки ради выпускать «Щитовые шляпы» (шляпы, снабжённые щитовыми чарами), [6] они неожиданно для себя получили заказ от министерства магии. «Ты не поверишь, — говорит Джордж Гарри, — как много народу, даже среди министерских работников, не умеют выполнить приличные Щитовые чары… Мы теперь расширяем ассортимент. Выпускаем Плащи-щиты, Перчатки-щиты… Ясно, от непростительных заклятий они не помогут, но от мелких и средних заклинаний — вполне».

Репаро

Репа́ро (Reparo от англ. — to repair — чинить, ремонтировать) — заклинание, с помощью которого возможно восстановление сломанных предметов, таких как вазы, очки, стекла и т. д.

Встречается во всех книгах. При первом упоминании этого заклинания Гермиона восстанавливает очки Гарри.

Ридикулус

Риди́кулус (Ridikulus) — Заклинание против боггарта. Для того, чтобы избавиться от боггарта, надо представить пугающую вас фигуру чем-то комичным («превратить страшилище в посмешище») и, направив на привидение палочку, произнести «Ридикулус». При правильно наложенном заклинании, боггарт превратится в нечто нестрашное и смешное, вызванный этим смех обезвредит призрак.

Сектумсемпра

Сектумсемпра (Sectumsempra) — Появление на теле противника кровоточащих ран, смертельное без вмешательства постороннего, изобретено Северусом Снеггом.

Впервые встречается в шестой книге, где Гарри Поттер узнает его из старого учебника зельеварения, принадлежащему Принцу-полукровке.Гарри применяет это заклинание против Малфоя (его вылечивает Северус Снегг) и обороняется им от инферналов в пещере, где спрятан крестраж Волан-де-Морта, правда, безуспешно, а также применяет это заклятие против Северуса Снегга, но тоже безуспешно. В седьмой книге Снегг использует заклятие Сектумсемпра против одного из Пожирателей Смерти, но попадает в Джорджа Уизли, вследствие чего Джордж лишается уха.

Сонорус

Сонорус (Sonorus) — заклинание увеличения громкости голоса. Голос превращается в громовой рёв. В основном используется на мероприятиях, заменяя магловские рупоры и колонки. Заклятье, прекращающее действие «Сонорус» — Квиетус (Quietus).

Этим заклятьем пользовался Людо Бэгмен, когда комментировал финал Кубка мира по квиддичу в 1994 году и позже на турнире трёх волшебников в Хогвартсе. [4]

Фиделиус или Заклинание Доверия

Фиделиус или Заклинание Доверия (англ. Fidélius Charm ) — заклинание доверия, одно из самых действенных заклинаний сокрытия дома. Принцип действия основан на доверении тайны одному человеку — Хранителю. Когда волшебник накладывает заклинание на свое жилище, он выбирает особу, достойную полного доверия, и дает только ей возможность сообщить третьим лицам о наличии и местонахождении жилища. Для тех, кому Хранитель не сообщил эту информацию, дом остается невидим и необнаружим. Также Заклинание действует как Чары Ненаносимости — дом невозможно нанести на карту. В случае смерти Хранителя его права передаются всем, кому он рассказал тайну.

Экспекто Патронум

Экспекто Патронум (Expecto Patronum) — Вызов Патронуса. В применении очень сложно, так как требует особого психологического настроя. Является основным (и чрезвычайно эффективным) средством против дементоров.

Экспеллиармус

Экспеллиармус (Expelliarmus) — обезоруживающее заклинание в книгах Дж. К. Роулинг о Гарри Поттере.

Направить свою волшебную палочку на противника и произнести «Экспеллиармус!»

Вырывает палочку из рук жертвы и выбрасывает её вверх или в сторону. Тот же эффект (выбрасывание вверх) заклинание производит с неодушевлёнными предметами малой массы, если оно попадает в них. Если заклинание попадает в человека, оно производит толкающий эффект.

Малоупотребительные заклинания

Заклинания, выделенные курсивом, употребляются только в играх. Подчеркнутые используются в фильмах.
