What makes people successful

What makes people successful

Qualities of Successful People

People who get ahead in life often exhibit certain traits and characteristics.

Success: It’s a great feeling, knowing that you reached your goal. That you won the race. Earned the promotion. Passed the test. Climbed the mountain. We have all, at one point or another, succeeded at something. And most of us would like to keep succeeding in the future.

While different people in different professions and at different stages of their lives might measure success differently, those who are regularly successful tend to share certain characteristics with one another. If you want to be regularly successful too, it’s a good idea to cultivate those traits within yourself. The most significant of them include:

Passion

If you want to reach your goals, it helps to care a lot about what you’re doing. Passion can be energizing, and it can help push you through the more difficult moments. But passion can’t be faked. You have to truly feel that what you’re doing is necessary and/or deeply meaningful.

Optimism

The biggest successes often start out as fantastical goals. In some cases, those goals have seemed so out there (such as landing a man on the moon) that others have called them impossible. Without a sense of optimism and a belief in themselves, those who have achieved the most might have achieved nothing.

Persistence

Every successful person has experienced failure—multiple times, and in multiple ways. What separates them from the rest isn’t that they fail less; it’s that they persist more. When faced with a setback—even a large one—those who succeed don’t let it stop them from continuing forward.

Creativity

From the arts to the sciences, those who have a capacity to think originally have a greater chance of success. When faced with an obstacle to your goal, don’t just go through a checklist of ways to solve the problem. Try thinking of the problem—and its possible solutions—in a way few, if any, ever have.

Self-Discipline

Everyone procrastinates. And everyone has a vice or two, however minor. But those who are continually successful never let distractions overtake them. Instead, they have the discipline to force themselves to keep at it, even when they feel the urge to do something less important.

A Desire to Improve

Successful people don’t consider themselves to be perfect. Even if they have great confidence in their abilities, they still work to improve, identifying where they have weaknesses and doing what they need to do to strengthen themselves.

A Commitment to Learning

One thing you’ll note if you talk to a highly successful person is they often have an amazingly detailed knowledge of their field. And many have an incredible knowledge of other fields as well. That’s because a good portion of success is understanding the ins and outs of what you’re trying to do, and the world at large.

While a few successful people learn in unconventional ways, most learn by studying at colleges and universities. For many, a college degree or a graduate degree is what put them in position to launch their successful career. And earning a degree can do the same for you.

Whether it’s a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree, when you earn a degree from an accredited university you’ll come away with new knowledge that can help you attain and sustain success. In this way, higher education can be a true opportunity creator. And thanks to online learning, attending a good college is more possible than ever before.

As a student at an online university, you won’t have to worry about living close to a campus. In fact, you won’t have to worry about leaving home at all. If you have internet access, you can earn a degree online. And it’s quite convenient. Online classes have flexible scheduling, which gives you the freedom to complete your studies at whatever time of day makes most sense for you. That flexibility makes it possible to balance your online courses with your existing work—and life—schedule.

For working adults, online education opens up all kinds of possibilities, whether you need a college education to reach your goals or whether you simply want to learn something new. Whatever the case, earning a degree online can be part of your commitment to achieving success.

Walden University is an accredited institution offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs online. Expand your career options and earn your degree in a convenient, flexible format that fits your busy life.

Walden University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, www.hlcommission.org.

What Makes Successful People, Successful People?

Your mindset guarantees your success or failure in all you do

4. What Makes Successful People, Successful People?

As we know successful people happen as well as unsuccessful ones. And unsuccessful people look to the successful to see what they must do to become one of them…

However, successful people don’t really know how they did it…

They know what actions they took, but they don’t know how they used their mind differently to how an unsuccessful person uses theirs (or to be more accurate, ‘is used by theirs’).

This accidental thinking (because we are not trained how to think) is what is keeping the world trapped.

Replace non-thought with ‘accurate thought’ and then we don’t just make the world a little better, it transforms every part of it… But there is no agenda here other than growth as a species. The only way for our evolution as a species is to raise our level of consciousness!

Currently we are living in a world with less than one in ten thousand people being successful and having the life they desire! This isn’t good enough in my opinion!

…And I thought the world needed a better plan, which is why I saw the value for me in spending my working life giving anyone who asked for the answer a systemised way to think, which automatically worked if they just applied it.

Unsuccessful people think they can become successful people by learning someone’s system!

This is why the way success is currently taught has roughly the same success rate as the statistics above.

However, the truth is they cannot do it the way they are doing it… Except for a tiny few that is… Which are the few who are paraded in front of people as examples of how ‘their system works’.

The truth is successful people’s thinking is hard wired differently. So a successful person can look like an unsuccessful person, but they may be just dormant and not be a success yet… They will be at some point.

What makes people successful. Смотреть фото What makes people successful. Смотреть картинку What makes people successful. Картинка про What makes people successful. Фото What makes people successfulIn other words they haven’t switched their mind on to go and get successful yet. So they can learn from a success book and become successful.

But an unsuccessful person can’t do this. Because their mind does not think the same way. Their mind is set up to fail, keep them trapped at a certain level and simply doubt that they can succeed.

So when they learn the success techniques from a successful person they think they are going to get it… It will seem obviously correct to them!

But unless they were one of the dormant successful minority there is no chance of this happening for them.

Unsuccessful people are taught to think they have the choice of success or failure, that if they try really hard they can do it!

However, unless they reprogram their mind then failure is certain and the statistics endorse this… But then again we are taught to ‘hope’ for something better… Hope after all is the marketers best weapon.

A person who is struggling to succeed in one or more areas of their life is attempting to do so from a mind that has had it’s hard wired success thinking rewired through neuro-plasticity. The good news is, it was changed to be wired wrong, so it can be changed back to be wired correctly.

But the harsh reality though is they cannot become successful with the methods which are currently being taught. Once they regain control of their thoughts and have a Structured System for Thinking, then sure, most of the success teachers works, will work.

But this is what I call good software, and you cannot load good software onto a computer with a virus!

Unsuccessful people have a virus which will prevent at all costs their success!

The funny thing is that they are hard wired for success, but because of a complete lack of structured thinking they have been programmed for failure. So the programming has to be removed and a structured ‘program for thinking’ put in place of the current accidental thinking program which humanity works with.

This is why I pulled wisdom together from numerous sources and put it into a system that taught how to think it instead of saying here’s what you should be thinking.

What makes people successful. Смотреть фото What makes people successful. Смотреть картинку What makes people successful. Картинка про What makes people successful. Фото What makes people successfulSociety looks at successful people and says they are the successes of society, whereas in truth there is something of a paradox happening. Because successful people are actually only successes thanks to having failed the programming society delivers to everyone.

Don’t get me wrong… This is not some ‘Big Brother’ system! It is just a default way of thinking which has evolved along with us over thousands of years. Because it has always been there we have ‘not noticed’ just how faulty this programming was until now.

It boils down to this one particularly awful what to think lesson that we have all heard at one or many more times in our lives… ‘We do it this way because we’ve always done it this way!’

This moronic argument is holding our species back!

The very use of this argument should in itself be a reason to go and look again at why we are doing it that way.

I used to instinctively get very angry when someone said that line to me, as I was always doing things differently… I did it that way because I was looking for a way to evolve and make it better… To switch my mind off with that bastion of human thoughtlessness was simply a bridge too far, and if I heard it enough times I quit the job. Then when I was employing people, they quickly learnt to never say it to me for fear of an earful.

KNOWLAGE IS POWER

What makes a successful business person? Business people who are tops in their field have a lot in common, and art professionals can learn a lot from their successes and strategies – advice

I have a theory on doing business. If my business is good, it’s not because of the weather, the time of year or the economy. It’s because of me. I’m doing something right. If my business is bad, it’s not because of the weather, the time of the year or the economy. It’s because of me. I’m doing something wrong. Somebody is always buying something from somebody, so how can I make them buy from me?

First of all, you need confidence in yourself and your merchandise with clear goals and knowledge of the products you are selling. Only then can you inspire dedication from your staff and a willingness to buy from customers.

Successful business people, no matter what their industry, have been found to share similar traits. Today’s world is no longer satisfied with simply success–we want to know how the successful get to the top. The Russians developed a concept called “anthropomaximology,” in which they try to answer the question of why some individuals outperform others. Through the years I’ve done some anthropomaximology of my own and found there are certain qualities that describe successful business people. Here are a few:

1 They constantly set higher goals Successful business people are mountain climbers who, having climbed one peak, look beyond to the next highest. They are the retailers who send 1,500 mailers to their customers and yield a good turnout of 100. But instead of being satisfied with 100, they ask how they can increase that number to 150 the next time.

For example, Donald Kelley of Kelley Frame and Art Galleries, with locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin, continually tries to improve his e-mail list. “My goal is to collect 150 new e-mail names every month and send out a new e-mail message to this list every two weeks.”

2 They avoid “comfort zones” To a successful person, standing still feels like going backwards. People who stay in their comfort zones do what they did before because it’s “the way we’ve always done it:” They run the same ads, buy the same merchandise in the same way and avoid anything new, different or unusual because they feel they might do something wrong. They blame any lack of business on the weather, the time of the year, the economy–anything except for themselves.

Successful gallery owners attend art shows, read catalogs and visit other galleries in their travels. They are always searching to find unique art exclusive to their galleries. They take control of their own destiny and market their businesses as exciting destinations.

3 They are driven by accomplishments, not money

Successful people follow the theory of Apple Computer’s founder Steve Jobs, who said, “The journey is the reward.” They are customer focused, not product focused. Their thrill is not the ringing of the register but the crowds responding to their mailing. For them, there is no greater high than a line outside the store before the doors open.

4 They solve problems rather than place blame

A telephone pole blocked the view of Ron Bishop’s Canadian gallery. He knew it would be difficult, if not impossible, to have the telephone pole moved. His solution was to paint the pole with an Impressionistic theme. Once it was finished, the local paper came, took a picture and wrote a story about it. “It was great publicity,” said Bishop. “And then the calls started coming, asking, ‘Is it for sale?’”

Successful gallery owners do not waste their time looking at problems and saying, “It’s not our fault” or “Why didn’t we …” They say, “Let’s look at what went wrong and realize it was a learning experience and figure out how we can make it work next time.”

When a customer hears it will take a week or longer to have their art framed, and says, “Sorry, that’s too long,” do you shrug your shoulders and say, “Well, that’s how long it takes.” Or do you think, “Hmmmm, if that’s what the customer wants, how can I solve their problem?”

5 They look at the worst possible scenario

“What’s the worst possible result if we follow this plan?” they ask themselves. Then, knowing that, they decide if the risk-taking is practical.

However, once they make the decision, they proceed with the confidence, knowledge and expertise necessary to make it work.

They understand the most harmful result and then decide if they can live with the outcome. If they can, they move ahead. Confidently.

Galleries that concentrate on one type of art often decide to reach into an unrelated area. Sometimes a gallery will fail in an attempt to broaden their focus, but successful performers understand even defeat is a learning experience.

“Every time I fail,” said Thomas Edison, “I learn something.” He tried 1,114 times to find a filament to stay lit in a bulb. He failed 1,113 times.

6 They rehearse the future as they see it

“I believe our future is a one-stop shop for decorating. In addition to limited-edition prints and posters, we now offer collectibles, gift items and small occasional furniture pieces,” said Christine Knoll of the Art Gallery of Hog Hollow in Chesterfield, Mo.

What makes people successful

Some people are successful while others aren’t. But what makes them so successful? Well you’ll be surprised to find that it’s not skill. What makes people successful is attitude. If you believe you’ll succeed you will and if you think you’ll fail you will. But what can you do about it? How can you change the way you think and act? The time to change is right now. Go out there with your head held high and strive for success in everything you do.

Strategies for Success

What do successful people do that others don’t?

What motivates them to keep going?

Can anyone be successful?

What makes them different from others?

Successful people are confident, honest and driven.

These are attitudes, not skill.

Our attitude can improve our skills so we need to change our attitudes and become more focused and driven.

Our minds find it impossible to store all the information it receives in a day and so it deletes the unnecessary detail. So you need to change your attitude to your business or your life. You need to set goals, concentrate on knowing what you want to achieve and work towards achieving your goals.

But your goals need to be SMART goals:

Specific – know exactly what you want
Measurable – be able to follow the progress
Achievable – be within your capabilities
Realistic – be possible to do
Time – you must make the time to do it

You need to know exactly what your goals are, be able to set a plan and follow it, be achievable for you (e.g. don’t attempt to be a brain surgeon if you can’t stand the sight of blood), be possible to do (e.g. don’t try and think you can fly) and you must be prepared to put in the time to achieve your goals, or have the time to do it.

Seeing Things As They Are

Some days start off great and just get better while others start off bad and get worse.

It all depends on your attitude and what you’re focusing on. If you’re in a bad mood then everything will seem bad because you’re focusing on it.

It’s just the same with your goals. If you focus on missing them, then you will.

You see, our brain never hears the word ‘wont’ or ‘don’t’. That’s why children always do what you tell them not to. They never hear the word ‘don’t’.

So if you focus on not missing your goal by thinking ‘I won’t fail’, then you will. Instead, tell yourself, ‘I will succeed’.

Children learn faster than adults because they have no fear of ridicule or failure.

Children always look on the bright side:

Babies learn to walk by setting a goal and working towards it. When they fall down they adopt a different strategy, such as holding onto the furniture, and then they keep going and learning. We should take a leaf out of a baby’s book, so to speak.

Never say ‘I can’t do this.’ Just take notice of what’s not working and change strategies. This will move you closer to your goal.

What else stops you from achieving our goals?

Your beliefs can hinder you or help you, but they can only help you if you understand that they are only beliefs.

Events don’t shape your life. It’s your interpretation of these events that shapes your life.

Your beliefs and certainties have the power to expand or destroy your true potential.

Beliefs are limiting, so it’s important to understand that they are only beliefs and not reality.

The past does not equal the future. Just because you haven’t achieved something in the past doesn’t mean you can’t achieve it in the future.

You need to question your beliefs and where they come from.
Remember, you can change – but not if you believe you can’t.

Focus on what your limiting beliefs have stopped you from achieving. Change whatever is limiting you.

If you believe you’ll win, then you will.

Remember that you don’t have to be 100% successful in everything you do to be successful. Every step you take to achieve your goal is a success. And if something goes wrong, just chalk it up to experience – we learn from our experiences.

Things You Can Do Right Now

Always ask yourself:

What did I do well today?
What did I learn today?
What am I going to do differently tomorrow?

Never avoid failure.
Stride for success.
Keep trying different strategies.

We slump when depressed and sit tall when we feel successful. Adopting these postures can affect our attitude and state of mind.

How you feel on the inside can affect how you look on the outside and this can influence people around you. What you focus your mind on affects your body language. Therefore you can change your state of mind by changing your posture. So when you feel depressed, adopt the upright posture of a successful person.

People and circumstances can also affect your state of mind, but this can be controlled. Instead of giving up letting external factors control your state of mind, adopt a positive attitude, stand tall and refuse to be influenced by negative things around you.

This is easier said than done because our responses are learned and our unconscious mind cannot always distinguish what is and isn’t real.

For instance; if you raise your hand to your mouth and imagine you’re sucking a lemon, you’ll wince. The lemon may be imaginary, but your mind has a conditioned response which makes you wince.

Therefore, never forget:

If you think you can’t achieve something, then you wont.

If you think you can achieve something, then nothing will stand in your way.
