According to the data, the students have quite a wide range of interests at university. It is clear that the vast majority of the respondents (52%) go to the university in order to learn about a future job. Moreover, a great number of them (17%) would like to try what their future job is like. It is worth mentioning that an interesting social life is significant for 15% of the respondents.
Surprisingly, only 7% of the young people think about improving their communication skills while getting higher education. It is two times less popular answer than making friend and spending time together. To my mind, parties attract students more than conferences.
One problem that can arise with studying at a university is that students usually have more lectures than practice. Thus, they have no work experience and unemployment is rather high among graduating students. One solution to this problem is to reorganize educational programme in order to provide university students with more practice.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that despite some problems associated with studying at a university, it is important for young people. I hope the students could keep good memories about this period of time. (260 words)
40.2 Recent studies show that environmental problems are very topical nowadays. The aim of the project I am currently working on is to find out what young people in Zetland do to help the environment. As part of my project, I have found and analyzed some relevant data presented in the diagram.
According to the data, there is quite a wide range of ways young people can take care of the environment. It is clear that turning off the lights as well as using electronic books and documents are at the top of the table, 29% and 25% of the respondents have chosen them. Also, 17% of the young people save water by taking a shower, whereas reusing clothes and recycling rubbish appear to be the least preferable ways of helping the environment among the youth in Zetland.
It is worth mentioning that decreasing the consumption of electricity is twice as easy to do as sorting the rubbish. Obviously, turning off the lights as well as using energy saving bulbs become an integral part of daily life.
One problem that can arise if people stop helping the environment is global warming. All the people have to contribute to combating climate change. So that, it is necessary to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. For instance, petroleum should be replaced by clean fuels for vehicles.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that helping the environment is very important. People should take care of the place where they live. (243 words)
