Question
How slove outlook client received “ Exchange Server re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar.“”
Answers
I really appreciate your quick reply.
The reason: the resign employee is the initiator of this meeting. He has left, but after I delete the loop meeting, it will be created again.
Is this issue affecting all attendees of this meeting?
If it only occurs to you, please try the suggestions above and check the result.
If it’s also affecting other users or the above doesn’t work, as the meeting organizer has left, you would need to contact the Exchange administrators and ask them to help removing the meeting via scripts:
Here’s a relevant thread for your reference: Delete Meeting invite.

Can you explain exactly what I need to customize here
Please replace “Example” with the Subject of the problematic meeting. And for “user01@contoso.com” after “From”, you would need to replace it with the meeting organizer in your case.

What’s the version of you Outlook? You can view the version information via File > Office Account > About Outlook.
Do you mean you have deleted a meeting in your Outlook client but it keeps reappearing with this warning? Does it only occurs to a particular meeting event?
For current situation, here are some potential solutions for your reference:
Method1:
Try to delete the meeting in question in OWA and see if the issue can be fixed.
Method2:
In case there’s still a copy of the meeting entry in your mailbox, please enter the subject of the meeting in the search bar within Outlook, modify the search scope to “Current Mailbox”, delete any entries retrieved. Search for the problematic meeting again in Deleted Items folder, remove the items in your research result.
Method3:
If the above doesn’t work, please try to delete the problematic meeting item via MFCMAPI tool. For steps to use MFCMAPI, you may refer to the steps below:

We had a weird thing happen here this morning, I wonder if you’ve ever seen it before
User A and User B are on Exchange 2010
User A sends User B a meeting invite (along with many other users).
User B declines the meeting.
User A’s mailbox is moved to new Exchange 2016 server (but not User B).
User B has the meeting reappear on his calendar with this note:
Exchange Server re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar
Any idea what happened here?

Would you please post the detail CRA log (default location: \v14\Logging\Calendar Repair Assistant)?
This issue may be cause by corrupt items in Exchange mail store, thus try to move mailbox to other mailbox database for testing, it’s more helpful than use New-MailboxRepairRequest to repair mailbox.

As we know, when a meeting is placed back on the calendar by CRA (Calendar Repair Assistant), the body of the meeting says «Exchange 2013 re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar«.
Therefore, I want to confirm:
1. Is this issue only occurs on one object?
2. Has this decline action done during mailbox migrating?
3. Is this repair meeting request display as Tentative, and wait for response?
If this issue occurs during mailbox migrating, the response message might not deliver to the organizer. Thus, CRA arise and repair it.

1. Is this issue only occurs on one object?
There are a few files in the CRA log folder, so it appears to have happened more than once (though only reported once)
2. Has this decline action done during mailbox migrating?
No the decline happened a week before the migration
3. Is this repair meeting request display as Tentative, and wait for response?
The meeting is displayed as tentative.
One odd thing is the the CRA ran against User A’s mailbox on the Exchange 2016 after the migration, (the log file is time stamped an hour after the mailbox migration was completed) though as far as I can tell the CRA is disabled by default.
Do you know if the CRA runs against a mailbox as part of the migration process or if it runs as part of some other maintenance by default?

My manager is having a problem. «randomly» reoccurring meetings in outlook will after some time start showing as this:
«Exchange 2013 re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar»
With all the «meat» of the body is missing.
We are running Exchange 2013 SP1 and Outlook 2013. They look the same in OWA. Meetings can be from different senders, different times etc.

Please use EAC to check whether Journaling is configured in Exchange 2013 and this user is the journal recipient:
1. Navigate to Servers > Databases.
2. In the list view, double-click the mailbox database.
3. Click Maintenance, remove the journal recipient by clicking Remove X.
If there is no journal recipient, please check whether there is any third-party application in Exchange server and local user machine. Please disable any related mail application to have a try.

Did you get any update on this? I have the same exact issue, but with Exchange Online and Lync on prem.
I thought the calendar repair assistant is doing this, but all the documentation on the CRA shows it would not just remove the body of the invite.
I have disabled the CRA in Exchange Online for the affected users, but I suspect something else is going on with how the CRA is working in 2013, either on prem or Exchange Online. I don’t think the CRA behavior is to remove the contents of the message.
Thanks, Matt Alter
We are also getting this. Never happened before, now suddenly in the past day or 2 we’ve started to get a number of users reporting this. We’re using hybrid Exchange 2010 on premise with all mailboxes in Office 365/Exchange Online, so I’m wondering if there is an issue with the CRA within O365!
Has anyone raised this as an issue within Microsoft Office 365 support portal?
Exchange Lover | @ntpro
Microsoft have confirmed this is an issue with Exchange Online via the O365 Dashboard:
Current Status: Engineers have developed a fix and are currently testing to ensure successful remediation.
Customer Impact: Affected customers are experiencing issues with incomplete meeting information for a limited number of invites set to occur between the dates of August 7th, 2014 and September 12th, 2014. For the affected calendar invites, customers may see meeting content replaced with a canned message stating, “Exchange 2013 has re-created a meeting that was missing on your calendar.” This issue is only affecting the body of the calendar invite for attendees, and not the meeting organizer. Also, this does not affect the title, location, date and time, or the attendee list.
Workaround: As a workaround, customers can re-send affected calendar invites. Additionally, if the calendar invite contains Lync meeting information and the information does not appear in the message body, attendees may be able to use the ‘Join Lync Meeting’ button that appears in Outlook, Outlook Web App (OWA), and the mobile client to join the scheduled meeting.
Incident Start Time: Thursday, August 7, 2014, at 12:00 AM UTC
Preliminary Root Cause: A recent update to the service caused the Calendar Repair Assistant feature to misidentify some meetings on the attendee’s calendar as missing. By design, the feature recreated the meeting invite, including the title, location, date and time, but replaced the body of the calendar invite with the canned message.
Next Update: Monday, August 18, 2014, at 4:00 PM UTC
