Student: In fact, we ignore ecological problems because we believe that there is nothing that we can do to prevent it.

Choosing headings
Read the headings to get an idea what to look for in each paragraph. Read each paragraph and underline the keywords. Work out the main idea in each. Remember that the information may be paraphrased.

I think the author’s purpose was to explain the reasons for our feeling about our body image. All changes that happen with our bodies are the result of growing up. We shouldn’t pay attention to beautiful media images, because they are specially made to enchant us, they are idealised and unrealistic. The author says we should like ourselves as we are and be confident in this way of self-esteem.
